Max Verstappen

Two-thirds of F1 fans share same Verstappen opinion

RacingNews365 recently asked if F1 is currently too boring, with Max Verstappen having won 47 of the previous 70 grand prix since the start of first championship-winning season in 2021 - here is what fans had to say.

Max Verstappen has conquered all before him since the start of the 2021 F1 season - a year which provided the most tensely fought drivers' title battle in recent memory.

However, take that first championship-winning year out of the equation, and Verstappen's run becomes even more dominant. Something F1 fans say has made the series predictable and boring.

In support of that notion are statistics such as the fact that Red Bull has won 41 of the 48 grand prix from the start of the contemporary ground-effect regulations era.

Of those 41 wins, 37 have been enjoyed by Verstappen, who has more than had the measure of his closest rival, team-mate Sergio Perez, in that time.

It is therefore not surprising that two-thirds of F1 fans think that the current levels of dominance displayed by the Dutchman are becoming a problem.

The saving grace for F1 is that over 30% of fans are still able to find joy in action elsewhere from race wins and championship fights.
