Yuki Tsunoda and Gabriel Bortoleto could face consequences from the stewards at the Canadian Grand Prix for alleged red flag infringements during FP3 at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve.
Both were initially noted by the race director before their potential infractions were escalated to full investigations after the session. Bortoleto finished the hour in P19 with Tsunoda the only driver slower, in P20.
The Red Bull driver passed the limping McLaren of Piastri down the back straight, which is not permitted under red flag rules. The Milton Keynes will, however, likely argue that Tsunoda had not other choice given how

Bortoleto, on the other hand, passed a Haas into the final braking zone on the circuit just after the red flag was waved, so may get away with his indiscretion.
