A clear majority of F1 fans believe Max Verstappen was correct to extend his stay with Red Bull - and put an end to the speculation around his future.
The four-time champion last week signed a new contract to extend his stay with Red Bull until at least 2030, a two-year extension to his previous deal, which was set to expire following the 2028 season.
In doing so, he put an end to the never-going-away rumours that he could join Mercedes, or, in recent times, McLaren. If Verstappen does stay with Red Bull until 2030, he will become the first F1 driver in history to stay with a team for 15 seasons, having made his debut for the squad in 2016.
After the news was announced of Verstappen's extension, RacingNews365 ran a poll asking readers for their opinion on the news, with an over-whelming majority verdict of 59.21% believing the Dutchman had made the correct decision in opting to stay at Red Bull.
This garnered a smidge under 34% more votes than the next most popular option which was a quarter of those responding believing Verstappen should have tried to move to Mercedes.
