This weekend's Bahrain Grand Prix will be sunny and hot, with a risk of desert dust affecting visibility on Sunday. There will be strong winds at the circuit, similar to during pre-season testing, and visibility may be poor under a striking orange sky. The windiest day is expected to be on Sunday.
Friday
Friday will see temperatures of over 35 degrees celsius during the free practice sessions, even under cloud. When sun does manage to break through, the temperature of the track could rise to over 50 degrees.
Saturday
Saturday will be similar to Friday, although it will cool down towards qualifying as the sun sets.
Sunday
On Sunday, the wind changes from southeast to northwest, meaning significantly cooler air is blown to Bahrain. It will no longer be 35 degrees, but 25 degrees. The northwester is quite turbulent with a strong wind (wind force 6) and gusts of up to 65 km/h. The strong wind blows desert dust over the racetrack. As a result, visibility during the race may occasionally be poor and drivers may experience inconvenience, but it is not expected to be so bad that the race will have to be stopped. An orange sunset is guaranteed and that produces beautiful colored pictures.
