It's been a fascinating start to the 2024 F1 season, but which teams have started better or worse compared to the first three rounds of 2023?
The championship standings compared to this time 12 months ago look very different, with the only real similarity being that Red Bull is in the lead.
However, Red Bull scored more points in the opening three races of 2023 compared to 2024 (123 points vs. 97 points, exactly one win and a fastest lap less).
Ferrari and McLaren have both moved up a notch from 2023, with the Italians having won a race courtesy of Carlos Sainz in Australia.
Ferrari was in fourth position in the constructors' championship last year with 26 points, whereas now they find themselves in second with 93 points. McLaren stood in P5 with 12 points in 2023, whilst the team currently holds third position in the championship with 55 points.
The top teams doing worse now compared to 2023 are Aston Martin and Mercedes. Aston Martin had an excellent start to the season last year, taking second place in the constructors' championship after three races.
In 2024, Aston Martin find themselves in fifth position, having scored only 25 points. Mercedes has experienced a dreadful start to 2024, and find themselves on 30 points less than 12 months ago.
The biggest loser is Alpine. This time last year, the Enstone-based side was P6 in the constructors' championship with eight points. In 2024, they have yet to score any points, as has Stake F1 and Williams.
