Stake F1 has confirmed that Ferrari reserve driver Robert Shwartzman will replace Zhou Guanyu in first practice at this weekend's Mexico City Grand Prix.
It'll mark Shwartzman's second F1 appearance of the season after featuring in first practice after the summer break at the Dutch Grand Prix.
On that occasion at Zandvoort, Shwartzman replaced Valtteri Bottas, with Mexico City marking Zhou's turn to miss a session.
Shwartzman competing in first practice this weekend will complete the Hinwil-based team's requirements to run a young driver in two sessions during an F1 season.
Stake F1 stated on social media: "Following his appearance for the team at the Dutch Grand Prix earlier this season, the Scuderia Ferrari reserve driver will take over Zhou Guanyu’s seat for the session, handing it back to the Chinese driver for the remainder of the race weekend at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez.
"Once again, we work in partnership with Scuderia Ferrari to give young talent an opportunity in practice sessions. Best of luck, Robert!"
