McLaren managed to wrap its hands around the constructors' trophy last time out in Singapore as it won its first back-to-back championship since the 1997 and 1998 seasons.

However, amid all the celebrations, questions were being asked about the clash between its drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri on the opening lap of the race.

Norris collided with Piastri as they battled for position through Turn 3 - a significant moment given both are chasing their maiden drivers' championship.

McLaren opted not to intervene and Norris ended the race ahead of his title rival, narrowing the gap by three points.

Throughout the year, McLaren has highlighted the 'papaya rules' they follow and the key principles over how both drivers should conduct themselves on the track.

But with the teams' title now wrapped up, is it time for McLaren to give free rein over the championship battle?
