F1 announces next Sprint Qualifying weekend

After debuting at the British GP, Sprint Qualifying will be back in early September when F1 heads to Monza for the Italian GP.

Sprint Qualifying made its F1 debut at the British GP, and fans and drivers alike won't have to wait long to see it again as the format will return for the Italian GP in early September.

The weekend will follow the same schedule that was seen at Silverstone, with Practice 1 kicking things off on Friday afternoon. After that comes qualifying, which will set the grid for Saturday's Sprint Qualifying event.

Saturday will feature a second and final practice session before the 100km Sprint Qualifying event that will determine the grid for Sunday's Italian Grand Prix.
