The 2022 Formula 1 season is about to begin, with the season-opening Bahrain Grand Prix nearly upon us.
Bahrain has frequently played host to the opening race of the campaign, and in 2021 the event marked the beginning of a season-long duel for the title between Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton.
Verstappen took pole position at the Bahrain International Circuit, but it was Hamilton who clinched his first win of the year. What will happen this time around?
The weekend will follow the usual format, with two 60-minute practice sessions taking place on Friday. FP1 is scheduled for 12:00 UK time, and FP2 follows at 15:00.
On Saturday, FP3 will be held at 12:00, before the first qualifying session of the season occurs at 15:00. This will determine the grid for Sunday's Bahrain Grand Prix, which starts at 15:00.
RacingNews365.com will be on hand to cover all of the action and you can find our live blog here. We will also have exclusive interviews, news and analysis throughout the entire weekend in Bahrain.
