The final day of the Bahrain testing, the closing chapter of the F1 pre-season, holds great significance for Red Bull.
Considering the level of scepticism that surrounded Red Bull's first in-house power unit, the energy drinks outfit has come through a successful, drama-free testing period.
Whilst it is not yet possible to predict precisely where the energy drinks outfit's two teams stand in the pecking order, it can be stated with great certainty that both formations, Red Bull and Racing Bulls, can approach the season beginning with the Australian Grand Prix in early March with confidence.
It is well known that new winds have been blowing around the senior team since last summer, and the recent period has been about revitalisation beyond merely preparing for this season.
The aim is to maintain the momentum seen in the final stages of last year's campaign, and to shift into a higher gear.
Apparently, the company's senior management also feels that this is a crucial period, as every key figure appeared on Friday, the final day of the Bahrain test.
Oliver Mintzlaff, Red Bull's CEO for corporate projects and new investments, had already appeared in the paddock on Thursday, where he was joined on Friday by Ahmet Mercan, head of global motorsport corporate projects.
The list of Red Bull luminaries was completed on Friday when part-owner Mark Mateschitz, son of the legendary Dietrich Mateschitz, arrived at the venue late in the morning, followed shortly afterwards by majority owner Chalerm Yoovidhya.
The energy drinks hierarchy had several meetings during the afternoon. RacingNews365 understands that the primary purpose of the visit is for the leadership to support and encourage their teams as they prepare for their battles in the 2026 season.
During the afternoon hours, the leaders will be watching together as star driver, four-time F1 world champion Max Verstappen, completes the final test session in the RB22 before the season opener.
