Red Bull has again hinted at a new look in 2026, this time following confirmation that Max Verstappen will change his car number for next season.
The Dutchman will sport number 3, previously used by Daniel Ricciardo, including during his time at the Milton Keynes-based squad.
Having been forced to relinquish the number 1 to new F1 drivers' champion Lando Norris, Verstappen opted not to return to his previously used number 33, instead marking the start of a new era.
That coincides with both Red Bull and F1 entering new dawns, too. Whilst the championship has reset its power unit and chassis regulations, the six-time constructors' champions is becoming a power unit manufacturer for the first time, entering a technical partnership with Ford, the company it purchased the Jaguar Formula 1 team from in late 2004.
As such, it hinted at a return to the branding the team used before 2016, when it last significantly changed its livery, meaning there could be a new look for the team next term, something F1 fans — and even Verstappen himself — have called for.
This time, the team has posted a new number font on social media, with a silver outline. It is a considerable change from the look used from 2016 onwards.
