Red Bull is unsure when its RB22 will take to the track once again during the Barcelona shakedown test following a crash for Isack Hadjar.

As the second day of the pre-season test reached its closing stages, Hadjar slipped off the road at Turn 14 and sustained damage against the barrier.

The difficult moment came just one day after the Frenchman topped the timesheet for his new team.

Tuesday's test was mostly held in wet conditions, creating an added challenge for the drivers behind the wheel of the new generation of car.

Now, Red Bull's attention turns to repairing the car ahead of its next on-track appearance.

“[There was] no chance for dry tyres, but some, some good learning on the wet,” team principal Laurent Mekies said.

“Unfortunately it didn't end up in the right way. But what is important that Isack is okay.

“We will try our best to repair the car and to see what's coming next.

“It was very tricky conditions this afternoon, so very unfortunate that it finished that way, but it's part of the game.

“These difficulties came after a very, very positive day yesterday in terms of the number of laps Isack could complete in the car, and in terms of his learning and development and feedback to the engineers.”

Red Bull ran the car on Monday and Tuesday, meaning it has just one more day in hand to run the car this week.

With more unwelcome weather forecasted, Mekies stated Red Bull must choose its final day carefully to ensure it leaves the test in the best possible shape.

“The checklist is too long to be completed in just a few days in Barcelona,” he said.

“So it's always going to be a matter of priority, and trying to be flexible and adapt your programme as difficulties come out or in terms of when you find an interesting direction that you should pursue.

“We only have one day left, so we have to make sure we play that card carefully.”
