Former F1 driver Ralf Schumacher is set to undergo a surgical procedure after a jet ski accident.
The incident occurred during a live TV event, Stefan Raab's celebrity jet ski world championship in Duisburg.
In the individual competition, Schumacher made it to the final but missed out on the win before attention turned to the team tournament.
Schumacher participated alongside host Raab, but things did not go according to plan as they capsized at a buoy, causing both to fall off.
The jet ski capsized again just moments later when Schumacher powered away as Raab hadn't fully climbed back on yet.
As Schumacher attempted to get back on again, it was clear that he was in pain, and he later explained to RTL: "My shoulder was dislocated when I tried to turn the jet ski around so quickly.”
After his shoulder was put back in place, an X-ray revealed that he had a minor break which will require surgery.
However, Schumacher, who works for Sky Germany as an F1 pundit, is expecting to be present in Monza this weekend for the Italian Grand Prix.
"It was only a shoulder dislocation, or a dislocated shoulder, but unfortunately a piece of bone broke off as well," Schumacher said.
"The operation will be over quickly and then I should be back in Monza as well. I only have to hold my microphone with my left hand!"
