Power: Grosjean deserves 'punch in the face'

The 2022 IndyCar champion was unhappy with Romain Grosjean, Scott Dixon and Road America itself after he blocked him during a qualifying session in Road America.

Will Power went on a fiery rant after Qualifying for the IndyCar race in Road America, taking aim at various things including former Formula 1 driver Romain Grosjean. The two-time champion said he "deserves a punch in the face" after he was blocked on a fast lap causing him to take avoiding action after being squeezed towards the grass at the Wisconsin circuit. "Grosjean is a piece of crap," said Power. "If you saw what he did in practice, he needs a punch in the face.” He also voiced his displeasure after getting caught up in an on-track crash with Scott Dixon during practice earlier in the day, which required a rebuild of his car. “I’m just p****d what Dixon did this morning,” he fumed. “It’s ruined our whole weekend, just a terrible move.” Power appeared to be unsighted from Dixon and the pair crashed into a concrete wall following an earlier spin. The Australian was livid when he got out of the car to confront Dixon, although later apologised as they drove back to the pits in the medical car. For good measure, the 2018 Indy 500 winner also took aim at the Road America circuit itself, after a complete resurfacing for 2023. Check out the video below.
