McLaren rookie Oscar Piastri's fourth at the British Grand Prix has seen him match two-time F1 champion Max Verstappen for the best result in his rookie season.
The Australian started the race at Silverstone third after a stellar qualifying effort alongside teammate Lando Norris, making use of the Woking-based outfit's major upgrade package.
An ill-timed Safety Car just after Piastri had made his pit stop took away his chance of a podium, though fourth was not a result to shirk at.
Piastri has moved into joint fourth on the list for best result in his rookie season of those currently on the grid, level with Max Verstappen, Yuki Tsunoda and Alex Albon.
McLaren occupies four of the best 10 rookie results, with Lewis Hamilton winning in his first season, Kevin Magnussen finishing second on debut in 2014 and Norris notching a sixth-place finish.
Lance Stroll is third on the list, whilst Daniel Ricciardo - whose rookie season technically came with HRT, is last with a best result of 18th.
