Perez feels he has 'everything to win' in last two races of 2022

Red Bull might have sealed both the Drivers' and Constructors' Championships in the 2022 F1 season, but Sergio Perez is still hoping to complete their success by securing P2 in the World Championship behind teammate Max Verstappen.

Sergio Perez feels that he has "everything to win" heading into the final two races of the 2022 F1 season. The pressure is off Red Bull ahead of the Brazilian Grand Prix weekend, with the team and driver Max Verstappen having already sealed the Constructors' and Drivers' titles respectively. However, Perez remains in a fight with Charles Leclerc to secure P2 in the World Championship. The Mexican currently has the edge, but just five points separate the two. Verstappen has spoken of the importance of Perez winning the battle against the Ferrari driver, and the man himself is keen to do all he can to achieve the feat.

Perez has 'everything to win'

With the upcoming weekend in Brazil featuring the addition of the third and final Sprint race in 2022, Perez hopes to capitalise on the opportunity to score more points. "I am going into the final two races of the season still feeling like I have everything to win," Perez explained as he previewed the race. "We might be Constructors' Champions but as a team, and for me personally, it is hugely important to secure a one-two in the Drivers' Championship. "For that I need to keep fighting and stay driven to achieve the best possible result in every race, including this weekend’s Sprint."

Red Bull 'so driven' to maintain form, says Perez

While the Sprint means that there is less time for teams and drivers to prepare – given the reduced amount of practice sessions – Perez has outlined the importance of having a good start to the weekend. "The Sprint is a chance to score vital points, so it is important we get a good practice session in on Friday morning and qualify well," the four-time race winner said. "If we put everything together this weekend, we are the team to beat and we are still so driven maintain the incredible form we have going this season."
