Norris drives first F1 laps of 2023

McLaren driver Lando Norris went to the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya for a test ahead of the 2023 F1 season.

Lando Norris has had his first taste of Formula 1 on-track action in 2023 after taking part in a test for McLaren at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. The British driver drove the MCL35M – the team's chassis used for the 2021 season – for several laps to get up to speed ahead of the new campaign. McLaren will launch their 2023 challenger on 13 February, which will be driven by both Norris and Oscar Piastri. Mercedes are also taking part in an extra off-season Pirelli test at Paul Ricard on 1 and 2 February, with AlphaTauri set to run on 3 and 4 February.
