Lance Stroll suffered yet another retirement in the 2026 season, with his 13th DNF in the Sao Paulo Grand Prix.
The Canadian dropped out of the Interlagos race with a battery issue whilst running down the order in the tricky conditions as drivers navigated the wet-to-dry conditions.
Stroll's 13th DNF of the season is now one away from the all-time record for most DNFs in a season, which is currently 14 shared by Andrea de Cesaris in 1986 and 1987 for Minardi and Brabham, respectively, and Rubens Barrichello's 1997 campaign for Stewart.
Stroll has failed to finish in China, Japan, Monaco, Barcelona, Austria, Belgium, Netherlands, Italy, Spain, Azerbaijan, Singapore, Mexico City, and now São Paulo.
He also recorded a Not Classified in Australia, with 12th in Bahrain in Malaysia his best result of the season.
Meanwhile, team-mate Fernando Alonso is fighting for a points position, running in 11th place on Lap 43 of 71, just behind Ferrari's Charles Leclerc.
