Adrian Newey will join the Aston Martin F1 programme, it has been confirmed, upon the end of his Red Bull tenure.
The 65-year-old will join the British team as managing technical partner ahead of F1 introducing new chassis and power unit regulations at the start of the 2026 season.

Adrian Newey has revealed that he decided to join Aston Martin as he "needed a new challenge", with team owner Lawrence Stroll having been key to his arrival.
Aston Martin announced the signing of Newey at its Silverstone factory, with the F1 technical expert to start his position as managing technical partner on March 1 2025.

Newey shares point he first decided to leave Red Bull
Adrian Newey has revealed he first decided to leave Red Bull during the Japanese Grand Prix in April.
The 65-year-old will leave the Milton Keynes-based team in early 2025, joining Aston Martin, with this highly-anticipated news announced earlier today.
