Red Bull has signed two-time F1 world esports champion Jarno Opmeer on a long-term deal after he left Mercedes.
Opmeer joined Mercedes in 2021 as reigning world champion, going onto defend his crown but took fifth and fourth in the following two seasons.

The FIA has denied accusations that wording recently added to F1's technical regulations was a response to any team using a prohibited braking system.
It was believed that one of the teams may have employed an asymmetrical braking system and that the move by the governing body was to prevent similar approaches in the future.

Hamilton engineer Bonnington promoted by Mercedes ending Ferrari talk
Lewis Hamilton's race engineer at Mercedes Peter Bonnington has been promoted, ending any prospect of the latter joining Hamilton at Ferrari.
Hamilton-Bonnington is the most successful driver-engineer pairing in F1 history, with 84 grand prix and six drivers' titles having joined forces when Hamilton moved from McLaren for 2013.

Dutch authorities request Stake F1 name change for Zandvoort
F1 and Stake have been called on by the Dutch betting authority, the Kansspelautoriteit (Ksa), not to promote the team's name at Zandvoort this weekend.
F1 returns from the summer break with the Dutch Grand Prix, but the country's government is moving to stop Stake from running its usual team name, which is from the Australian-Curaçaoan gambling company that owns the Sauber entry.
