F1 teams and drivers may be facing torrential conditions during qualifying for the Sao Paulo Grand Prix.
The weather forecast heading into the weekend predicted that there could be some rain on Saturday, with the Interlagos track no stranger to saturation when F1 is in town.
The final practice outing remained dry, with Max Verstappen topping the timesheets ahead of Kimi Antonelli.
However, as the session drew to a close, there was a noticeable shift in the weather, which has continued to deteriorate ever since.
At 13:15 local time, 45 minutes after the end of the final practice session, there was a huge clap of thunder and lightning in the region.
It was followed by a torrential downpour of rain, with the FIA giving permission to the teams to close their garage doors.
The temperatures have dropped significantly since the start of FP3, creating an added challenge for the driver once qualifying gets underway.
The current air temperature is sitting around the 22°C mark.
