Mercedes has announced the signing of Joshua Durksen to a development driver role for the 2026 season.
The 22-year-old will assist Mercedes throughout the campaign as the Brackley-based squad hopes to embark on a successful season.
Durksen spent the last two seasons racing in Formula 2 with AIX Racing, taking four wins and 12 podiums during his stint.
The Paraguayan will return to the category this year with Invicta Racing, who has won the last two drivers' and constructors' championships.
Durksen will join Doriane Pin, who was previously announced in the role, as a development driver.
Mercedes has outlined that Durksen's duties will include simulator duties and several days of Testing of Previous Cars (TPC) running alongside his F2 programme.
Additionally, retired driver Anthony Davidson, who has long been associated with Mercedes, will continue his simulator support and simulator driver roster management role.
