F1 fans believe McLaren will fall short of becoming the first F1 team to score 1,000 points in a single season, but that they will smash Red Bull's points record.
With the season set to resume at the Dutch Grand Prix weekend, McLaren's constructors' championship is all but secure, with a 299-point lead over Ferrari in second place.
McLaren has 559 points to the Scuderia's 260, and is on course to win the title in Azerbaijan in a best-case scenario.
A total of 475 points remain up for grabs across the final 10 races, including three sprints, meaning McLaren can score a total of 1,034 points this season - with no team ever breaching the four-figure mark in a single season.
However, according to the results of a RacingNews365 poll, a strong majority of F1 fans believe McLaren will fall short of this historic figure.
But in good news, Red Bull's record haul of 860 points in 2023 is expected to fall, with McLaren requiring 302 points to do so.
It must also be pointed out, however, that there were 22 grands prix in the 2023 season, compared to 24 in 2025, but Red Bull also had the benefit of the possibility of a point for the fastest lap, almost making up a grand prix's worth of points.
Will McLaren become first F1 team to reach insane F1 landmark?
