McLaren CEO Zak Brown netted an astonishing £11 million pay rise following his team's constructors' championship triumph last year, making him one of the highest-paid personalities in Formula 1.

Brown pocketed a staggering sum of £37.25m for 2024 on the back of McLaren's first team title for 26 years, up from £26.38m in 2023, in figures released in McLaren's annual accounts for last year.

Only drivers in four-time F1 champion Max Verstappen and seven-time title-holder Lewis Hamilton are understood to have earned more than Brown.

In its statement of accounts, the team acknowledged its success not only in F1, but also in other racing series in which it competes.

The statement read: "2024 saw McLaren Racing Limited reclaim the Formula One constructors' championship, marking a triumphant return to the top after 26 years.

"The season's success was a testament to the hard work of the entire team, supported by our valued partners and passionate fans. It also demonstrated the team's remarkable progress in recent seasons, rising from fourth position in 2023 to first in 2024.

"Success extended across other racing series as well. In IndyCar, Pato O'Ward secured three race wins, while in Formula E, Sam Bird delivered the team's first-ever victory in Sao Paulo."

Financial figures overall saw McLaren Racing's revenues rise from £431,082 to £530,314, due to what it describes as "primarily a result of increased commercial activity after a strong season of on-track performance."

That resulted in an operating profit of £57,601, up by £27,000 in 2023, and a net profit of £237,417, a rise of almost £100,000 from the previous year.
