McLaren has confirmed it has partnered with Motul as an official supplier of the team from next F1 season onwards.

As a specialist in the formulation, production and distribution of high-performance lubricants, Motul will provide transmission lubricants to the Woking-based squad.

"We are delighted to welcome Motul to the McLaren Formula 1 Team," said Nick Martin, co-chief commercial officer at McLaren.

"Motul has a proud history of innovation and technical excellence, attributes that closely mirror our own legacy. We look forward to working together in this exciting partnership."

As F1 enters a new regulatory era in 2026, McLaren will likely embark on its second successive constructors' championship defence, with the papaya outfit on the brink of capturing the title at the upcoming Azerbaijan Grand Prix.

Motul, meanwhile, has a storied history in motorsport, having previously supplied teams and championships across the 24 Hours of Le Mans, WEC, MotoGP, the Dakar Rally, and F1.

Andreea Culcea, chief brand and communications officer at Motul, added: "This partnership with McLaren marks Motul’s return to Formula 1, a discipline where we have written some of the most exhilarating moments of our history.

"This is a great opportunity to combine both of our expertise in the pursuit of performance and innovation.

"We are particularly proud that our fluids contribute to the outstanding performance of one of the most prestigious racing teams in the world."
