Max Verstappen will begin working with his new Red Bull race engineer, Tom Hart, at this weekend's United States GP.
Hart has been selected as the replacement for Gianpiero Lambiase, who is winding down his responsibilities as he prepares to leave Red Bull and join McLaren, potentially as early as late next year.
Verstappen will be working with Hart at the upcoming United States, Sao Paulo, and Las Vegas Grands Prix, as he takes over responsibilities from Lambiase for three of the final six races of the 2026 season.
Lambiase will resume his normal duties in Mexico City, Qatar, and Abu Dhabi, whilst he will be on-site at the three races Hart replaces him in his role as the head of racing at Red Bull, where he is the third-most senior-ranking member of the team, behind only team principal Laurent Mekies and technical director Pierre Waché.

Who is Tom Hart?
Hart was originally set to depart from Red Bull to take up a senior position alongside Alex Albon at Williams, but when news of Lambiase's departure for McLaren was announced in April, he managed to extract himself from the Williams contract.
Hart joined Red Bull as a race engineering industrial placement student in July 2012, before moving to a simulator performance engineer role in November 2014, which he held until December 2019.
In January 2020, he was promoted to performance engineer and has long served with Lambiase on Verstappen's engineering team.
He will be the third engineer to work with Verstappen at Red Bull, with Simon Rennie, Daniel Ricciardo's former engineer, serving for two races in 2025 as Lambiase missed the Austrian and Belgian Grands Prix.
