The #80 Winward Racing car claimed victory in the Nürburgring 24 Hours, avoiding the reliability issues that plagued the Max Verstappen-led #3 sister Mercedes.

The four-time F1 drivers' champion — and his team-mates, Dani Juncadella, Jules Gounon and Lucas Auer — led for most of the race, but a broken driveshaft with just under four hours to go ruined their chances for victory.

David Coulthard left stunned by new Formula E beast: 'I've never experienced that in my life'

Former F1 David Coulthard was left stunned after driving Formula E's new Gen4 car in Monaco, insisting the acceleration was something he had "never experienced" in his life.

On Sunday morning at the Circuit de Monaco, ahead of the second race of Formula E's Monaco E-Prix, Coulthard completed four laps in the new car.

Former F1 driver suffers Nurburgring 24 Hours disqualification as license stripped

Former F1 driver Timo Glock has been disqualified from the 2026 Nürburgring 24 Hours and stripped of his Nordschleife license.

The German, who had been racing in the #69 McLaren featuring a Michael Schumacher-inspired 1995 Benetton livery, committed a significant violation during a night stint.

F1 upgrades war predicted in Mercedes versus McLaren battle

Former Haas F1 Team team principal Guenther Steiner has predicted that a "battle" is set to emerge between McLaren and Mercedes over which team can introduce the best upgrades and develop its car the fastest.

Mercedes has been the dominant outfit and has won all four races so far this season, with championship leader Kimi Antonelli currently on a run of three consecutive victories.
