Max Verstappen has shut down attempts to try to extract information regarding a key meeting with senior Red Bull figures earlier this week.
Ahead of the Barcelona-Catalunya GP, for which he qualified in fifth, Verstappen was in Austria for talks with high-level Red Bull GmbH figures, including Oliver Mintzlaff, the CEO of corporate projects at the company, and therefore responsible for the F1 programme.
However, when asked about what the series of talks was about, the four-time F1 champion remained tight-lipped and refused to divulge any information.
"That’s nobody’s business," Verstappen told Viaplay of the meeting.
"It was already planned anyway. It’s not like it suddenly came out of the blue after Monaco.
The Red Bull driver was then asked if he finds it annoying that people can track all his movements, including an X account that tracks the movement of his private jet.
"Of course, you can track my plane. I have no problem with that," he said.
"Well, people can see where I am. They can ask questions, but I only answer the ones I want to answer. If there’s something on my end, I’ll let you know. That’s just how it is."
