Max Verstappen has joked that the Mexico City Grand Prix should change its name to "Maxico" following yet another win for the four-time champion in the country.
Verstappen started the race from fifth on the grid, but a flying start saw him move into contention early on.
After taking the lead due to a time penalty for Charles Leclerc, Verstappen went on to win the grand prix, marking his sixth victory around the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez.
It's a new personal record for Verstappen, with the Mexican venue now the track the 29-year-old has won at the most during his career.
After the race, the Dutchman suggested a change to the name to reflect his success.
"They should actually call it the 'Maxico' Grand Prix," Verstappen said, speaking to media including RacingNews365.
"That would be great. I honestly love being here. I love the city, I love the environment, I love the fans.
"But I have no idea why. Sometimes your car just comes alive, and you've had good races and not a lot of bad luck sometimes as well.
"It's just always come together for me here, and, of course, I happily take that."
Verstappen suffered engine braking woes
While Verstappen managed to secure the win, it wasn't a straightforward victory for him, as he had his demons behind the wheel.
Verstappen was heard complaining of enduring engine braking during the race.
Assessing how it came about, Verstappen said: "It happens randomly. The engine just decides by itself what to do, to be honest. So, I don't know.
"Maybe I need to have a conversation with the engine before going into the race. Maybe it has to behave better.
"We don't know. Sometimes it just happens. It's not very consistent.
"Everything is running so hot here, and also for the turbocharger and everything, it's tough to make everything spot on."
