Max Verstappen conquered one of the last remaining tracks he had yet to triumph at by winning the Singapore Grand Prix, with just the Madring left to tame.
It was a quiet and sometimes static cruise to victory for Verstappen as the radio issues that plagued him during practice at the Marina Bay Street Circuit returned in an otherwise stress-free win.
Red Bull spent a considerable part of the sole practice session dealing with the bug, and its recurrence led to some creative communication methods between the Dutchman and race engineer Gianpiero Lambiase.
It included Verstappen being asked to open his radio to create the white noise being heard over broadcast or remain silent to indicate strategy preferences.
However, once out of the car, he was keen to focus on the manner of his win, which Jenson Button rightly described as a "masterclass" during the post-race interviews.
"It has taken a while [to win in Singapore], but I think this race was very good," Verstappen said after the chequered flag.
"We had pace when we needed to have it on the soft tyre and on the medium, even though I think the medium for everyone was a bit more of a struggle.
"But it worked out, so very happy to win here."
Back-to-back wins for Verstappen and Red Bull
The victory rubber-stamps Red Bull's return to form, having won on merit last time out at the Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia, the team and Verstappen's first win of the year.
"The last few races have been really positive for us," the four-time F1 drivers' champion added.
"It's just great to see, and we gave a lot of motivation to the team to deliver even more results.
"It's a really good group of people. I really enjoy working with them, and hopefully we can have a bit more fun until the end of the year."
