Luke Browning has ended the first half of the post-season test from the Yas Marina Circuit on top of the timesheet for Williams.

The Briton headed a quartet of rookie drivers in the top four, but Browning's lap time of 1:23.920 easily eclipsed the competition.

The F1 test is split into two groups, with every team fielding two cars - one for a rookie driver and other for a more experienced name to carry out Pirelli tyre testing duties.

Aston Martin reserve driver Jak Crawford was second, heading the leading McLaren entry driven by IndyCar star Pato O'Ward and Paul Aron for Stake.

Fresh from his world championship triumph on Sunday, Lando Norris posted the fifth fastest time of the morning.

Norris donned a new gold helmet for the opening segment of the test, with team-mate Oscar Piastri taking over driving duties in the afternoon.

Norris headed a flurry of drivers partaking in the Pirelli tyre test as Charles Leclerc, Carlos Sainz and Liam Lawson came next on the time sheet.

Dino Beganovic was ninth for Ferrari, while Frederik Vesti rounded out the top 10 while also completing the most laps in the morning with 88.

Isack Hadjar made his first appearance for Red Bull since news of his promotion for 2026 was made official, but he placed outside the top 10.

One red flag was deployed during the session after Haas' Ryo Hirakawa spun into the barrier at the opening corner.

However, he was able to get back out onto the track after the team carried out repairs.
