Liam Lawson will miss the opening free practice session in Mexico City this weekend as Racing Bulls field a rookie driver.
The Faenza-based squad is handing an opportunity to Ayumu Iwasa, marking his fourth FP1 appearance of his career.
All teams are required to give four FP1 sessions to rookie drivers this year (two per car), with Mexico being the first time this season a non-full-time driver has jumped behind the wheel at Racing Bulls.
Lawson is likely to be replaced again in Abu Dhabi, which is another hot spot for rookies to recieve their practice outings.
Team-mate Isack Hadjar entered the season as a rookie and therefore fulfils the criteria.
Sauber is the only team that has not nominated a rookie driver for FP1 in Mexico this weekend.
Also due to drive in the practice session is Pato O'Ward for McLaren, Arvid Lindlad for Red Bull, Antonio Fuoco for Ferrari, Frederik Vesti for Mercedes, Jak Crawford for Aston Martin, Ryo Hirakawa for Haas, Luke Browning for Williams and Paul Aron for Alpine.
