Lewis Hamilton has scolded Charles Leclerc for his approach to wheel-to-wheel racing, suggesting his team-mate needs a mentality shift going forward.
The Ferrari duo were involved in an opening lap scrap for the lead of the race, with both running into Turn 4.
Leclerc was subsequently given a five-second time penalty for gaining an advantage off the track, which eventually handed the lead to Max Verstappen, who slipped ahead of Hamilton after the opening lap skirmish.
Hamilton stated after the race that he was "really pissed" with the situation, while Ferrari team boss Fred Vasseur accused both drivers of lacking respect.
It is not the first time this year Hamilton has felt aggrieved with his team-mate, as they also had an opening lap tussle at Monza that resulted in the seven-time champion losing several places.
Hamilton asserted that Leclerc's approach to racing is nothing new.
"Before I joined this team, when I was at Mercedes, I watched and witnessed the back-and-forth between Charles and Carlos several races," Hamilton told media including RacingNews365.
"They were battling so much that the person ahead just pulled away, and they had the pace to actually win."

Hamilton points to 'kamikaze' avoidance at Silverstone
Hamilton started the race from pole position, having achieved his first with Ferrari on Saturday in Mexico.
The incident between the duo severely hindered Ferrari's chances of a third win in 2026.
Hamilton called on his team-mate to look at his approach from Silverstone earlier this year, when he avoided a "kamikaze" move to strip Leclerc of a race win.
"It is one thing when that's happening in fourth and fifth, as opposed to first and second, and you lose the win," he said.
"That's significant. The guy is 28 years old, so I don't think it's an age thing. I think it's a mentality thing.
"It's like, 'Do or die. Either I win or none of us do', and it shouldn't be that.
"It should be us having, getting that one-two. As I said, it's still a good feeling.
"Silverstone, I could have gone all kamikaze on him and taken him off and lost us the win, but instead the one-two [sic] was there.
"For me, I'm happy for the team to have experienced that, but I'm hopeful we'll work towards a better place, a better working place, in the future."
