Lewis Hamilton has revealed he has made a change in his personal life, that he has sold off his collection of cars and taken an interest in art instead.

Hamilton has long been known for his love of performance cars, having owned everything from Ferraris to a rare Pagani Zonda.

However, in recent years, the 40-year-old has spoken more about sustainability and helping the planet.

Speaking ahead of this weekend's Azerbaijan Grand Prix, the seven-time world champion told select media, including RacingNews365: "I don’t have any cars anymore. I got rid of all my cars. I’m more into art nowadays."

Despite turning to art and away from cars, there is one model of Ferrari the Briton would purchase if he was in the market.

"If I was going to get a car, it’d be an F40,” he added – referring to the legendary Ferrari F40.

Hamilton heads into this weekend's action in Baku following a series of improved performances, despite his results painting a different picture.

He has started to find more confidence in the SF-25, with team-mate Charles Leclerc having consistently been strong in Azerbaijan.

The Baku City Circuit is one of the most unique on the F1 calendar, featuring the narrowest corner of the season – Turn 8.

"I mean, it is a challenge, it's probably one of my least favourite corners," said Hamilton. "It's not particularly exciting.

"It's very narrow, and obviously it's a train through there. You can only follow, you can't overtake. So, it's pretty cool seeing the castle, but that's kind of it."
