Lewis Hamilton has disclosed that he has donated to three organisations that are "working tirelessly to help those who need it" in Gaza.
The seven-time F1 drivers' champion shared a Save the Children UK reel to his Instagram story before following it up with his own words on the ongoing crisis in the Middle East.
"The situation in Gaza is getting worse by the day," the Ferrari driver wrote. "In the past two years, more than 10% of the population has been killed or wounded - including tens of thousands of children - and that number only continues to rise.
"The latest incursion on Gaza City has forced hundreds of thousands of people from their homes, with hospitals across the strip already overwhelmed with those suffering from famine, and casualties of the bombing that never seems to end.
"Today, a UN commission of enquiry described what is happening in Gaza as a genocide. As human beings, we cannot stand by and let this continue to happen."
Hamilton went on to share his gratitude to anyone who could join him in donating to the cause through three specific charities: Palestine Red Crescent, Doctors Without Borders, and Save the Children UK.
"It's hard not to feel powerless in the face of so much tragedy, but we can't stand by and do nothing," the 40-year-old added.
"There are some incredible organisations doing great work to help the people of Palestine, and they need funds to be able to do so.
"I have donated to three organisations that are working tirelessly to help those who need it," he stated before listing the three aforementioned groups.
"If you feel you have anything to spare, I would be grateful if you could join me," he concluded.
