Lewis Hamilton has hailed Ferrari's desire to improve its form, insisting it is a key factor that drew him to the team.

Hamilton joined Ferrari this year after a successful 12-year stint at Mercedes, which delivered six F1 titles.

However, he has not had the eye-catching opening stint with Ferrari he was hoping for and has yet to take a podium result this year.

Despite the underwhelming results, Hamilton is content with how he has gelled with the engineers in a new environment.

“It's just trying to understand the environment that you're in,” Hamilton told media including RacingNews365.

“You have to adapt and I think the people you work with ultimately will learn to adapt to cater to you.

“This year, the response has been amazing to the steps that we've taken in all areas.”

Ferrari is building towards a fresh start in 2026 when new technical regulations will come into play, which could present Hamilton with an opportunity to win a record-breaking eighth F1 title.

The 40-year-old commended the effort the team is putting in behind the scenes to improve its form.

“The passion and the desire to continue to do better is what's the most amazing thing in this team,” he said.

“Just everyone just wants to do better and know and find ways of being better.

“That’s why I know this team has absolutely every ingredient that's needed to succeed and I truly believe in that. That's why I signed here.”
