Ferrari have released footage of the first fire-up of their 2026 Formula 1 engine, watched by Lewis Hamilton, Charles Leclerc, and team principal Fred Vasseur.
The footage from the Maranello-based outfit is the first clip and audio the Scuderia have shared on social media related to their new car, the SF-26.
It follows the successful completion of customer outfit Cadillac’s shakedown at Silverstone, with the American squad having released a short clip of its car in which the sound of the Ferrari engine is clearly audible.
In addition, Ferrari going public with their first engine fire-up followed a dramatic announcement on Friday evening that Lewis Hamilton’s race engineer would no longer be Riccardo Adami.
The Scuderia announced that Adami has changed roles to become manager of Ferrari’s driver academy and TPC (Testing of Previous Cars) programme.
