Lewis Hamilton has described Kim Kardashian’s support during the Monaco Grand Prix weekend as “amazing” after securing second place in Monte Carlo.

The result gave Hamilton his eighth career podium at Monaco, drawing him level with Ayrton Senna for the most podium finishes at the circuit.

Throughout the weekend, Hamilton was accompanied by media personality Kim Kardashian, whom he has been dating since earlier this year.

The seven-time world champion overcame an in-race time penalty to secure another podium finish and later expressed his gratitude for the support of his close circle, including Kardashian.

“It’s amazing to have her [Kardashian] come this weekend and have the support,” Hamilton told media including RacingNews365.

“But with my friends, incredible turnout just overall with people.

“And yeah, I don’t really know what else to say.

“It’s amazing to have good people around you and good people supporting you, and she does that for me every day.”

While Hamilton has matched the podium record in Monaco, he is still lacking in the victory category, with three wins compared to Senna's six.

When asked if he feels he can best his record before walking away from F1, Hamilton replied: “I’ve been here a long time and still haven’t got to his level on that, but I’m going to be here for a while, so I’ll keep chasing it.

“And just to be in his presence, in the sense of the eight podiums, for example, is very cool.

“I still remember being young and watching Ayrton, and still today he’s my favourite driver. So, it’s really cool.”
