Lando Norris has teased about the "interesting" run down to Turn 1 at the Spanish GP after losing pole to Oscar Piastri.
Norris was leading after the initial Q3 runs in Barcelona by just 0.017s but a snap at Turn 1 on his second lap disrupted the effort, with Piastri storming to pole by 0.209s.
It is the largest pole margin of the season, but pole at Barcelona has not been an advantage in recent years, with George Russell actually leading from fourth in 2024.
It is a fact Norris made sure to mention in his post-session interview.
"Oscar drove very well, and the pace was there, I just made a couple of little mistakes," Norris explained.
"But yeah, I didn't do it and Oscar has been driving well all weekend, so it is a good result for the team, a nice one and it will be an interesting start for tomorrow.
"Hopefully it is an easy race, but it is a long run down to Turn 1 and it is normally very interesting, there are a lot of quick guys behind, so we won't count them out, but it is good for today, I am happy."
