Lando Norris was forced to curtail running early in second practice for the Spanish Grand Prix after encountering a gearbox issue.
Norris had completed just two installation laps at the start of the hour-long session at F1's newest circuit, the Madring in Madrid, when he reported the gearbox in his McLaren had gone into "false neutral".
That forced the F1 champion back to the garage and out of the car, watched by legendary footballer Sir David Beckham.
McLaren later confirmed that it "had identified an issue on Lando's car, which requires a gearbox change".
The team added that it was "working to try and get Lando back out before the end of the session, although time is very tight".
Given the nature of the tricky 22-corner track, any time lost for a driver this weekend is vital going into qualifying, in particular, and ahead of Sunday's race.
