Isack Hadjar has insisted the uncertainty over his F1 future is “how it works” at Red Bull as he awaits to hear where he will race in 2026.
The 21-year-old has enjoyed a largely positive season, leading to prominent speculation that he will be promoted to Red Bull next year alongside Max Verstappen.
However, the team is yet to confirm who will partner the four-time champion as well as the occupants of the two seats at the sister Racing Bulls team.
Hadjar asserted he is unbothered by the unknown of the situation, asserting it is a circumstance he is well used to.
“To be honest, it’s something I’m used to,” Hadjar told media including RacingNews365.
“I never signed a contract or had something announced before the end of the season in my whole career.
“So I always had to keep my head down and keep pushing until the very final lap.
“For me, it’s nothing new, and that’s how it works with Red Bull.”
While the year has been an encouraging one, Hadjar pinpointed one moment from the season that was “horrific”.
The opening round of the season in Melbourne took place in damp conditions, with Hadjar due to start from 11th on the grid.
However, the Frenchman lost control of his car at the opening corner of the formation lap and hit the barrier, ending his race before it even began.
“It’s quite easy to pick for me,” Hadjar said when asked to highlight his most challenging moment of the year.
“Obviously, the first race was a disaster.
“So it was good to show myself – to get back up from a quite horrific Sunday to a good run of points and competitiveness after that.”
