Isack Hadjar will start the Miami Grand Prix from the pit lane after Red Bull carried out changes to his power unit after qualifying.
Hadjar ended the session in ninth place and was due to start Sunday's race from the fifth row of the grid.
However, it soon emerged that his car did not conform to the FIA's legality checks and he was subsequently disqualified from the session.
Red Bull was granted permission to start Hadjar's car from the back of the grid.
But the Frenchman has now been demoted further after Red Bull changed his energy store and control electronics.
Hadjar will now line up at the end of the pit lane for the start of the race, while team-mate Max Verstappen takes the start in second.
