Lewis Hamilton knows Mercedes have a fight on their hands this weekend, as he knew Red Bull would be as fast as they've been so far this weekend. Max Verstappen finished atop both practice sessions on Friday, with the reigning champions slotting into third spot in the second practice. However Hamilton believes Red Bull could still pull some further pace out of their pocket. "We thought that Red Bull would be as fast as they are, if not faster," Hamilton told Sky Sports. "So we know they're leading at the moment. "McLaren are looking great and it's great to see them taking the step [forward]. It will be interesting to see how the long runs are." Winds are expected to pick up over the course of the weekend, and Hamilton admits it isn't great news for Mercedes. "That's not great for us," Hamilton added. "The rear is unstable as it is, but everyone I'm sure will be in the same boat some more, some less. "For people watching and trying to understand that's when you approach a corner and the rear moves, and you're trying to find that that tipping point. But the tipping point needs to be further away with more downforce on the car, and now it's it's it falls away much quicker than normal."
