Kimi Antonelli will lead the F1 field away for the 2025 Miami Grand Prix Sprint race after becoming the youngest driver to qualify on pole in any format.
Antonelli has broken Sebastian Vettel's 17-year record from the 2008 Italian Grand Prix of youngest F1 pole-sitter, with the Italian just 18 years, 8 months, 8 days old, coming in nearly two-and-a-half years younger than Vettel, who does retain the youngest grand prix pole-sitter record.
Antonelli is also the first Italian on an F1 pole since Giancarlo Fisichella at the 2009 Belgian Grand Prix, and is joined on the front-row by Oscar Piastri with Lando Norris in third, Max Verstappen fourth and Lewis Hamilton seventh.
On Saturday afternoon, it was confirmed that Red Bull had elected to change the suspension set-up of Yuki Tsunoda in parc ferme, a breach of the rules.
It means he is to start from the pit-lane, with Gabriel Bortoleto and Ollie Bearman both shuffling forward one place on the grid.
However, Charles Leclerc will not start after crashing out on the recon lap after aquaplaning in the wet conditions.
