FIA president Mohammed Ben Sulayem met with McLaren Racing CEO Zak Brown and former Red Bull team principal Christian Horner, with the trio breaking bread ahead of the United States Grand Prix.
The head of the motorsport governing body, who is up for re-election in December, shared photos of the three enjoying a meal on social media.
However, the reason for their meeting is currently unknown. Although it is somewhat surprising to see Brown and Horner at the same table, given that there is no love lost between them.
When the latter was still at the helm of Red Bull, they clashed on numerous occasions. When the Briton was fired, the former remarked he was "not surprised" to see his adversary relieved of his duties by the Milton Keynes-based squad.
The American later admitted their rivalry had gone "too far" as McLaren usurped the now-Laurent Mekies-led team in the F1 hierarchy.
Horner, meanwhile, is known to be exploring avenues back into F1, but how he will achieve that remains unclear.
Brown's two drivers, Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris, are currently locked in an F1 drivers' championship fight with Red Bull's Max Verstappen.
McLaren sewed up a second-consecutive constructors' championship at the Singapore Grand Prix, the previous round of the campaign.
