F1 fans have chosen Daniel Ricciardo as the driver they would most like to see make a comeback, according to the results of a RacingNews365 poll.
The Australian left F1 after the 2024 Singapore Grand Prix when Racing Bulls dropped him for Liam Lawson after a poor season. Since then, Ricciardo has kept a low profile, but clothing brand Enchante did partner with Racing Bulls ahead of the Miami GP.
The Perth-native considers his F1 career over and is not thought to be actively considering or trying to make a comeback, but that has not stopped F1 fans choosing the eight-time grand prix winner as the driver they'd most like to see return.
In a poll ran by RacingNews365 simply asking 'Which former F1 driver would you like to see return to the grid?, Ricciardo ran out the winner of the six contenders listed.
These included the likes of Valtteri Bottas and Sergio Perez, both major contenders for the Cadillac seats, but were beaten into second place by Mick Schumacher, who has not raced in F1 since 2022.
Ricciardo topped the poll on 32.21% of votes cast, which does mean he did not receive an outright majority of votes cast, but earned the greatest share.
