Formula 1 is set to add the Turkish Grand Prix to the 2027 calendar, with the event not having featured since 2021.
According to the Turkish arm of Motorsport.com, the owners of Istanbul Park, the FIA, and F1 have reached an agreement for the fan-favourite race to return.
The report follows news that the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya will feature biannually with Spa-Francorchamps until at least 2032.
Valtteri Bottas was the last driver to win the Turkish GP while at Mercedes, with it being a race that has delivered plenty of excitement.
Nine races have been held in Türkiye, a venue where Felipe Massa holds the record for most wins — three.
Lewis Hamilton has won twice at the circuit, with Massa and Hamilton being the only drivers with multiple victories in the grand prix.
Türkiye first hosted F1 in 2005, a race won by 2007 world champion Kimi Raikkonen.
It fell off the calendar at the end of 2011 before returning during the COVID-affected 2020 season and again in 2021.
