After each Grand Prix over the past year, a five-strong panel awarded points to all the drivers based on their performance over that particular weekend.
The 'F1 Power Ranking' table, based on the average points collected over the 24-race campaign, has now been completed, and despite Lando Norris netting his first drivers' title, it is Max Verstappen who has emerged as the winner
Despite a sluggish start due to the underwhelming performance of his Red Bull, Verstappen ended the campaign in scintillating form, scoring 10 successive podiums after the summer break, including six wins.
Verstappen's victory from pole position in the final race of the season on Sunday earned him a score of 9.6. Norris, who did enough to secure his title with third position at the Yas Marina Circuit, was awarded 8.6.
