A majority of F1 fans correctly predicted that Max Verstappen would emerge victorious at the Las Vegas Grand Prix.
This was despite the Dutchman taking the start from second on the grid after missing out on pole position to championship leader Lando Norris.
Norris ran wide at the first corner, which allowed Verstappen to sweep through and take the lead.
The Dutchman was largely unchallenged for the remainder of the grand prix as he drove to his sixth grand prix win of the season.
With both McLaren drivers disqualified from the race, Verstappen has now moved to within 24 points of Norris with two rounds remaining.
Prior to the Las Vegas race, RacingNews365 asked fans who they thought would emerge victorious.
Over 50% of fans predicted Verstappen would win, while only 32% had faith in Norris to seal the victory.
Third favourite for the win was Oscar Piastri, but the Australian amassed just 4% of the vote.
