Oscar Piastri was issued a costly 10-second time penalty at the British Grand Prix after the stewards found him guilty of a safety car infringement.
After the penalty was served, Piastri had slipped back to second place in the race and behind Lando Norris, who went on to claim the win.
Piastri was visibly annoyed after the chequered flag as he questioned the stewards' decision, claiming it was not consistent with the route taken at the Canadian Grand Prix last month when dealing with George Russell.
RacingNews365 asked you, the F1 fans, if you felt Piastri's penalty was too harsh.
Across two voting options 75 per cent of respondents asserted the penalty was too severe. 31.6 per cent felt no punishment was deserved, while just over 42 per cent believe a five-second penalty would have been justified.
18.6 per cent of fans believe the penalty is fair, while a small 4 per cent of people think a more severe punishment should have been inflicted.
